What happens if I loose my connection when using Remote Access?
If your connection drops during you remote access session, simply connect back up within 1 hour and log back in with the same user name and password. You will find your desktop exactly as you left it.
Printing from your local printer using Remote Access
As long as the printer you have at home is recognised by the server you will be able to pick your own printer from the list of printers available when you print, it will be named along the lines of “your printer model on LPT1 (from your computers name)…”
Printing to a school printer using Remote Access
All users can print to the following printers:
A3 Printer in Room 77, A4 Printer in Room 39 (this is the default). When you print to the A4 and A3 printers, unless you go into “properties” and remove the tick next to “print in greyscale” your work will print in Black and White.
You can print at any time to these printers day and night; work will be queued until the morning. You can moved files between your computer and school’s computers by using remote access.
